How To Install Trend Micro Internet Security?

Setting up Trend Micro is definitely not the easiest thing I've ever done. After paying for Premium Security on the website, we received an email with an activation code and a link to download the installer, which we immediately clicked. But for the previous test we got a message that we need to remove any other anti-virus software that is already on the computer. Once done, we download the installer and install the actual app, so we have to close our Chrome browser (you see, Slack channel!). It's a bit annoying because we don't see this with multiple apps open and software, but it's not a problem. When we install the app, we immediately get pop-ups and a folder that opens to protect the camera and microphone. Then we moved on to the antivirus part of the program.

When we open the Trend Micro software we downloaded from a 2011 Macbook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6 operating system (we need to download the 2019 version of Trend Micro, not the 2020 version) we see that it is distributed. into five main sections: Review, Web, Scans, Folder Screen, and Reports. But before we get to those parts, we have some things to take care of first. When we open the app, it asks us to get a security update. While it's not unusual for a new program to immediately request an update, we welcome it with antivirus software. You see, antivirus programs need new information to detect new viruses to protect against the latest malware; sometimes updates are hourly. 

At least we start with the knowledge that Trend Micro can protect us from the latest malware. Namely, we didn't like having to restart our device after the update was complete, and after restarting the app, we were told to restart the camera and the blocked microphone contacts were closed. Note that we have already enabled these features, but we have no other option. Clicking on these windows gives you another option to open Trend Micro Antivirus for "ultimate protection". Déjà vu? No, just a bad program.

When we click Enable, we get a new window saying "We can't contact Trend Micro" because the internet connection is lost, even though the internet is working fine for us in Chrome and iMessage. During this process, you must enter the PC key at least three times for the first time after the program is installed. We're not sure why this process is so closed, but it's definitely something Trend Micro is working on.
